This year the Alliance Française Manchester will celebrate World Music Day ex muros!
World Music Day, or “fête de la musique” in French, is celebrated on 21 June every year since 1982. The public can enjoy free concerts in the streets, cafés and bars all over France. Today, the Day is celebrated in 460 cities throughout 110 countries!
Dead Belgian at the Royal Exchange Theatre – 5.30 pm – 7pm
Liverpool-based Dead Belgian was formed in 2007 and plays the songs of Jacques Brel. From European folk to progressive rock, stripping the songs to their bare bones and fattening them up again on stage.

O.K. Press and friends at the Bay Horse pub – 9pm – 1am
Lyon-based band O.K. Press will hold an exceptional acoustic concert at the Bay Horse. The band offers a unique electro-pop sound that has attracted them critical acclaim. Two supporting bands are still to be announced.
