Set in rural Québec, Xavier Dolan’s fourth feature is a taut psychological thriller. Tom, a young advertising copywriter, travels to the country for a funeral, but he’s shocked to find out no one knows who he is. Most of the grieving relatives don’t know about his relationship with the dead man except the deceased’s domineering brother, who sets out to play a twisted game.
