Saturday 14/12/13: A la recherche du temps perdu : La Tour de l’Horloge de la Mairie
The Clock Tower tour offers a unique opportunity to climb the spiral staircase of Manchester Town Hall and see the movement of the clock that has kept Manchester in time for 136 years. You will visit the ringing room, mechanism room and enter the dial room behind the clock face before reaching the summit and ‘Great Abel’.
Please note the Clock Tower tour is hard work as well as being very rewarding. If you are not confident of your fitness level, or if you are suffering from any medical condition that may impact on your ability to enjoy and/or complete the tour, we suggest that you do not book.
Kate Dibble is the Manager of the Manchester Tours and Guides Services, a company established in 2006, she is also fluent in French. Kate has been a ‘Blue Badge’ tour guide in Manchester and the North-West for 25 years, so there’s nothing about Manchester that she does not know!
